Yea, I'm in "that" category; singer/songwriters alike. But it’s where I've wanted to be since before my mom bought my first guitar when I was twelve. I've been belting out tunes since Michael Bolton hit the charts with "How Am I Suppose to Live Without You” nearly 19 years ago. I was five. I’ve always been intrigued by how music can move and inspire and elevate special moments. Sometimes the right song at the right time in the right place can make for a truly surreal experience. So began my quest to be a songwriter.
I grew up in the suburbs. Having three older sisters and two very close female cousins; girls have always been a big part of my life. For better or worse I’ve played with Barbies, worn a sundress, seen Girls Just Want to Have Fun more times than anyone really should, owned a TLC album and I moisturize daily. I’ve been the crying shoulder when their adolescent relationships failed and even today when their marriages hit shaky ground. I am who I am for many reasons but mostly because I love the women in my life. And even though they might not always be the most logical beings; I appreciate their big hearts, beauty and confidence. Little did I know how much they would influence my life and add to my songwriting. While I will never completely understand the opposite sex, I believe I am fortunate to have had so much exposure. Although I’m sure I would have disagreed with that comment ten years ago. I guess I am maturing after all.

If you ever want to play an open mic or anything more north/west of Boston, I know a couple of places. Sounds good man. |
